When you join our waitlist, reserve a Founding Member spot, or use our services, we may collect:
We process your personal data for these specific purposes:
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for purposes beyond those listed above without seeking fresh consent.
Petraah includes an AI-powered pet care assistant called Mitra. When you use Mitra, your chat messages and relevant pet profile data (breed, age, weight, health history) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Mitra's responses are generated by artificial intelligence — not by a human.
Key points about Mitra and your data:
You have the following rights over your personal data:
Email our Grievance Officer at contactus@petraah.com. Please state clearly which right you wish to exercise. We will acknowledge within 7 days and respond within 90 days, per DPDP Rules 2025 Rule 14.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India under Section 13 of the DPDP Act.
You can permanently delete your Petraah account and all associated personal data at any time:
Upon deletion, your authentication credentials are revoked immediately (you cannot log back in). Personal data is anonymised on the same day and permanently erased from all systems within 30 days. Data that we are legally required to retain (e.g., tax records for completed transactions) will be retained for the minimum period required by law and then erased.
If you have an active paid subscription, it will be cancelled upon account deletion. No refunds are issued for the remaining subscription period.
We store your personal data on infrastructure operated by our service providers (Supabase for database, SendGrid for email, Razorpay for payments, Vercel for hosting). All transmissions use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
We maintain reasonable security practices as required under Rule 8 of the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures) Rules, 2011.
We retain your waitlist data until:
Post-launch, we retain subscriber data for the duration of your active subscription plus 3 years thereafter for legal, tax, and financial record-keeping, after which it is erased.
petraah is intended for adults (18 years or older) who are pet parents or caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not submit your personal data; if you believe a child has submitted data, email us and we will delete it promptly.
When we begin processing children's data in future (for example, features designed for family households), we will obtain verifiable parental consent as required by Section 9 of the DPDP Act.
Some of our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel, SendGrid, Razorpay) may process data on servers located outside India. Such transfers are made in compliance with DPDP Act Section 16 and any notifications issued by the Central Government. You may request details of which providers process your data by emailing our Grievance Officer.
